Begins January 11th, 2025
Guided by Lisa Luther

The Yin + Restorative Teachers training supports teachers in offering students passive styles of yoga in addition to the more dynamic styles of practices predominitly experienced in studio settings. The value of these passive styles include that both Yin and Restorative yoga can easily be adapted to suit practitioners of all levels as well as prioritizing a holistic approach to well-being by focusing on physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. As teachers, when we have the skills to offer more diverse practices, we truly are offering a more well-rounded and comprehensive experience of yoga, catering to the diverse needs of students and fostering a more inclusive and supportive yoga community.

My first introduction to yoga was as a student over 20 years ago. What started as a more physical exploration of my body’s capabilities quickly led me to develop an understanding of the emotional and mental benefits that accompanied being in a yoga practice. Now as both a student and teacher, I hope to show others that what you find within your mat practice, can be extended into the practice of daily living. The guiding principles of breath, awareness, discipline, compassion and attention to heart at the core of our yoga practice are essentially principles that help cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.
