meet our team

  • Jen Sloan (she/her) | studio owner + founding teacher

Blending safe alignment with intentional sequencing, Jen guides students to awaken to their physical + energetic body. Her classes are known to stir the soul, strengthen the body and calm the mind. Because of the transformations she has experienced in her own life, Jen has been called to share this life changing practice with others.

Jen’s intention is to guide others towards their own self transformation, using the various tools she has personally experienced + uncovered. Using her knowledge of chakras, yoga psychology, shadow work and meditation, she leads innovative workshops, yoga retreats, mentors yoga teachers and works with clients privately both in person + virtually. In 2022, she opened om shanti yoga as an offering of a physical space to do this work.

  • Lisa Luther (she/her) | managing partner + founding teacher

My first introduction to yoga was as a student over 20 years ago. What started as a more physical exploration of my body’s capabilities quickly led me to develop an understanding of the emotional and mental benefits that accompanied being in a yoga practice. Now as both a student and teacher, I hope to show others that what you find within your mat practice, can be extended into the practice of daily living. The guiding principles of breath, awareness, discipline, compassion and attention to heart at the core of our yoga practice are essentially principles that help cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.

  • Jennifer Basing (she/her)

There is nothing more honorable than holding a space for transformation, self discovery and healing through our yoga practice. Our body, mind and soul are interwoven and connected through meditation, asana, breath work and even sound. Through my own healing journey I discovered yoga, it changed my life forever and I love offering a safe space for everyone to meet themselves exactly where they are at. Connecting these elements is profound and I love to seal my offerings with the Magic of sound through Crystal Bowl sound bath and Mantra song.

  • Dakota Dawkins (he/him/they/theirs)

Dakota has developed a deep connection with the practice of yoga over the last 8 years; experiencing the many mental, emotional and physical benefits. Now he shares these ancient teachings of the yoga tradition with you. His classes take a grounded and heart-centered approach as you are encouraged to drop into the present moment and recognise the true essence of yoga, which lies in the meaning of the word; union. Empowering a sense of union within the body and mind is fundamental to his teaching. Meditation, mindful movement, sound healing and philosophical concepts are often explored. Through these practices you are given an array of tools and experiences to inspire a sense of union within the many aspects of yourself (mental, emotional, physical, intellectual). Dakota’s classes are open to all levels and ages, only requirements are an open mind and beating heart!

  • Rosemary Dorsett (she/her)

By braiding together asana, pranayama, meditation, ritual and evidence-based methods into her teaching, Rosemary provides students with a platform for both inner exploration and communal participation. Her class is carefully sequenced, blending effort and grace to meet each student where they are at. Rosemary is passionate about anatomical alignment, engagement principles and creative prop usage to ensure structural integrity for every body.

She studied at Sky Ting in New York City under Krissy Jones and Chloe Kernaghan, completing her 200-hr RYT certification in 2017 and a 150-hour mentorship with Jenn Tardif of 3rd Ritual the same year. In 2018, she expanded her offerings to restorative yoga after training with Dr. Abby Paloma. Rosemary draws on tools and techniques from a variety of lineages and traditions, namely Katonah and Iyengar Yoga, and is grateful to and humbled by her teachers who have shared this ancient wisdom with her.

  • Debra Dubinski (she/her)

Debra received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2011 and hit the ground running. She retired from the insurance industry and began teaching yoga immediately after graduation. She received her +300 hour yoga certification in August, 2013 and is an ERYT 500 certified Yoga Teacher.

Debra has a way of keeping it real & fun and believes focusing on breath and listening to your body are the best ways to prevent injury. She blends the physical with the spiritual – advising her students that “yoga will change your life whether you want it to or not!”

Debra lives in Jupiter Farms with her husband Chris and her dog Jax!

  • Olivia Frankfurth (she/her)

I had always heard of yoga and initially practiced as a way to move my body after being a student all day. At first, it was more of a physical practice to stretch and strengthen and with time, began to slowly shift into a quieting of the mind. I noticed that when I practiced yoga, there was more time spaced out between each thought and I was able to limit my focus on my breath and movement. Wanting to know more about this ancient practice and facilitating a way for others to feel as I first did led me to a teacher training. My goal as a yoga instructor will always be safety in the body first. With the use of intelligent sequencing I am able to do this to prevent injury. I carry the intention to guide students in an opportunity to create space in the mind and body to enable a connection beyond the physical body and what is tangible. I follow a quote from Seane Corn, "If they trust you with their bodies, then they can trust you with their hearts."

  • Lauren Hsu (she/her)

Early on in my practice, I found myself entranced by the shapes. Movement into and out of these shapes created what felt like freedom in my body.  As it evolved, I began to recognize that there is more to yoga than movement and exercise. This revelation sparked curiosity. In 2014 I immersed myself into a training that I will forever value. After dedicating over 200 hours of learning, studying, and exploring a wealth of knowledge not only found in books but within myself, I earned my certification to teach yoga.

The actuality of teaching a yoga class was not something I had planned, but fast forward almost ten years, and countless breaths later... Within those years, I became certified in teaching yoga for children, pregnant women, and SUP yoga.

I recognize that yoga extends beyond the time spent on the mat, and that no amount of practice will lead to perfection. But that was never the point. I offer a space of practice and healing for every student to deep dive into their personal journey and meet each and every student where they are at. Yoga is truly the journey and discovery of self,

  • Jane Krebs (she/her)

I love yoga and I love sharing this practice with others. My interest in this practice started many years ago with at home practices with Rodney Yee until I stepped into my first studio class in 2013 at Kula Yoga Shala. In 2015, I completed my first teacher training at Kula under the direction of Scott Feinberg and Mary Veal, and mentored by Lisa Luther. Lisa has since become my primary teacher, and through her I met Jen Sloan and Sara Eavenson and continued my studies with them by completing my second teacher training in 2020. My first training set a strong foundation for my personal practice and started my teacher's path; my second training provided the opportunity to deepen my personal practice and elevate my teaching. The practice of yoga provides opportunities to explore what nourishes us most through movement, breath control and meditation. I look forward to guiding and exploring this practice with you.

  • Michele Rodriguez (she/her)

For Michele, yoga was the unlearning of all that she thought she knew. Yoga was unearthing all her conditioning, patterns, limiting beliefs, and traumas. The practice of yoga allowed for her to create the space through breath, movement, and meditation for the reconciliation of all parts of her being—light and shadow. She was finally coming home to herself.
Through yoga, Michele learned how to feel safe in her body and heal the traumas, not just physically, but on multiple levels. These healing practices were the tools Michele used to recalibrate her nervous system. Most profoundly, Michele learned the art of being comfortable with the discomfort and finding freedom in the beautiful space between stimulus and response.
Michele is trained in vinyasa, yin, aerial yoga, and, most importantly, trauma-informed yoga. She is deeply honored to share these ancient healing practices with others.
