My first introduction to yoga was as a student over 20 years ago. What started as a more physical exploration of my body’s capabilities quickly lead me to develop an understanding of the emotional and mental benefits that accompanied being in a yoga practice. Now as both a student and teacher, I hope to show others that what you find within your mat practice, can be extended into the practice of daily living. The guiding principles of breath, awareness, discipline, compassion and attention to heart at the core of our yoga practice are essentially principles that help cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.
I feel blessed to be a graduate of the Kula Yoga Shala 200hr teacher training program directed by Scott Feinberg in Jupiter, FL. Most recently I’ve entered into studies in the Himalayan Yoga tradition under the guidance of Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ishan Tigunait, Sandra Anderson and Judy Moulton. I completed my 500hr level of certification in March of 2021.
I continue to immerse myself in studies, most recently with specialized training in asana under the guidance of Alexandria Crow, Founder of Yoga Physics, and specialized training in Pranayama under the guidance of Arundhati Baitmangalkar, Founder of Aham Yoga.
With a background in massage therapy and a strong interest in alignment and accessibility, with each class I strive to create a safe environment for everyone to practice asana but also explore the deeper dimensions of the yoga tradition. I teach vinyasa, yin and restorative group classes, private sessions that cater to meeting students' individual needs and conduct teachers' trainings, workshops and specialty classes. I am beyond grateful for each and every student that allows me to be a guide for their practice.
