Work In: Deep Stretch & Meditation Series

  • om shanti yoga 1620 U.S. 1 Suite 10 Tequesta, FL, 33469 United States (map)

In this 4-week series, we will explore research-backed meditation techniques and protocols to strengthen attention, attune inner awareness, declutter the mind and build empathy and compassion, with the ultimate goal of improving memory and peak mind performance. Each class will include a grounding and physically nurturing practice to prepare the body to sit and breathe with ease.

This series will start with the foundations of a meditative practice including the components of building a comfortable seat and the various ways one can support themselves in meditation. Each week, we will introduce a new evidence-based technique to build a simple yet potent practice that you can continually come back to. Expect a mix of practical theory and physical application, both lecture and conversation as well as group meditation.

All teachers and students are welcome! No prior meditation experience is required.

Continuing education credits through Yoga Alliance will be available for current yoga teachers attending all four sessions.

It is strongly recommended for students to bring their preferred props for meditation in addition to 1-2 yoga blankets/towels, journal and writing tool.
