Blending safe alignment with intentional sequencing, she guides students to awaken to their physical + energetic body. Her classes are known to stir the soul, strengthen the body and calm the mind. Because of the transformations she has experienced in her own life, Jen has been called to share this life changing practice with others.

Although outwardly energetic and spontaneous, Jen struggled internally with anxiety and a lack of confidence that led her into a co-dependent relationship. She was a successful makeup artist working in the glamorous world of fashion, with well known models and celebrities as clients. Jen quickly learned that these seemingly perfect women had similar fears and insecurities as her own. In her mid twenties, married and excelling in her chosen career, yet feeling the lowest she had ever felt, she initiated a divorce which ultimately sent her to the path of yoga.

Stepping into that first class, Jen was ready to make a change. She had neglected her body + health for many years, so to sweat, feel healthy, and get some endorphins pumping was a rush she needed. She was hooked. Initially, the attraction was purely physical, but with time, a shift began to take place. One day in class, sweating, hair sticking to her face, and with no makeup on, the teacher told the students to look into their own eyes in the fogged up mirror and suddenly she saw herself for the first time - literally (and figuratively) unmasked, strong and beautiful.

This awakening connected her to a level of spirituality she had long been searching for. It became clear that the externally focused world of fashion was not the path she should be on and from there, devoted her work + life to the internal world of yoga, and sharing this practice with others.

Breathing. Moving. Transforming.

Jen’s intention is to guide others towards their own self transformation, using the various tools she has personally experienced + uncovered. Using her knowledge of chakras, yoga psychology, shadow work and meditation, she leads innovative workshops, yoga retreats, mentors yoga teachers and works with clients privately both in person + virtually. She is the National Trainings Manager for Connection Coalition, a non-profit organization that provides trauma informed outreach trainings nation wide. In 2022, she opened om shanti yoga as an offering of a physical space to do this work.
