Intro to Ayurveda

Join Susan Schwiering for an Introduction to Ayurveda at Om Shanti Yoga. Ayurveda is based on the balancing of equal parts mind, body and spirit. Nutrition and daily routines are vital to balancing your internal state thus affecting your external self. Ayurveda is considered the sister science to Yoga and its study is a beautiful compliment to yoga and meditation practices. In this  workshop, Susan will teach participants the basics of Ayurveda, including the concepts behind Doshas, Prakruti and  Vikruti. Each participant will take a quiz to determine their specific Dosha and time will be given to discuss your specific ailments and concerns. Participants will be given food guidelines based on their Dosha and suggestions for a daily routine.

Susan grew up in Pasadena California and moved to Jupiter 16 years ago. Since becoming a mother of 3, she has vigorously studied holistic options for keeping her family happy and healthy. Susan  has been a student of  Ayurveda for five years and was certified by the Chopra Center in 2021. She has since studied under Dr. Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, The Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania and Ayurprana in Asheville North Carolina.
